Warrick Nelson
My major interests are business management and science, so my aim is to integrate and combine them in my work.
After my university studies in botany and horticulture I worked in companies with a commercial focus on seeds and plant propagation systems. My special field became seedlings and cuttings in cell trays and pots, with a particular emphasis on forest nursery technology. I have recently published a training and resource manual for containerised forestry propagation which can be bought or downloaded from Lulu.com.
While working as a manager and adviser, I have continued to research, write and publish articles, and to present papers at national and international conferences. I hold the view that researched information, without being published and made available to others, might just as well have not been done. So, I have decided to make my papers generally available.
I have become more interested and proficient in general business management, particularly management accounting, strategy, human resources and marketing.
